Work Placement is a mandatory requirement of all Vocational Educational and Training Frameworks courses (VET), student must undertake 35hrs of industry placement each year of their 2 year course. Student must participate in workplace activities and demonstrate their knowledge and skill based competencies acquired during the course, in a workplace setting. Student's performance in the workplace will be assessed by their VET Teacher and their Supervisor.
Year 11 & 12, Work Placements
Provide a structured learning situation with clearly defined outcomes to be assessed addressed during the work placement.
Outcomes addressed, complement the planned training program.
Student performance is assessed in the workplace by their VET teacher and the workplace supervisor.

Through Involvement in Vocational Education, employers and their employees will be able to improve the quality of education by relaying their skills and experience to motivated students.
For the student, the work place is a dynamic and interesting environment where skills and knowledge are gained.
The students also gain valuable exposure to the culture and ethos of the workplace.
